The 2025 30th Anniversary of the Torres Strait Islander Flag ‘C’ Mintmark Coin marks three decades since the flag was officially recognised in 1995. Struck by the Royal Australian Mint and presented on the official mint card, this coloured two‑dollar coin features the ‘C’ mintmark for Canberra.

Designed by Torres Strait Islander artist Bernard Namok, the flag represents the identity, culture and unity of Torres Strait Islander people. The green panels symbolise the land, the blue panel represents the waters of the Torres Strait, and the black stripes signify the people. At the centre sits a white five‑pointed star for the region’s major island groups, framed by a dhari — a traditional ceremonial headdress.
