The Royal Australian Mint has released this coin in honour of the courageous Australians who served in the Second World War.

From early deployments in the Mediterranean and Middle East (1940–41) to pivotal operations in the Pacific following Japan’s entry in December 1941, their contribution was profound. In 1941, women joined the ranks through newly formed branches of the Army, Navy, and Air Force, marking a significant chapter in Australia’s military history.
