This listing is for a sealed 1st Edition Unlimited Machamp – Holo Rare 8/102 from the English Pokémon TCG Base Set era.

Machamp is one of the most unusual cards in early Pokémon history. Although it carries the 1st Edition stamp, this version is widely known as the “1st Edition Unlimited” print. When Wizards of the Coast produced the Unlimited Edition of Base Set in 2000, every card was updated with deeper colours, a drop shadow behind the artwork, and revised text formatting. However, Machamp’s 1st Edition logo was never removed, creating a print anomaly unique to this card.

This version of Machamp was not distributed in booster packs. Instead, it was included exclusively in the 2‑Player CD‑ROM Starter Set, which served as the starter product for Base Set 2. To meet demand for that product, Machamp was printed in extremely large quantities, making sealed copies common and accessible for collectors today.
