1933/2 Overdate Penny – Melbourne Mint – George V.

Struck at the Melbourne Mint, this circulated Australian penny features the 1933/2 overdate — a known pre‑decimal error struck from a re-engraved die where the ‘3’ struck overlays a faint underlying ‘2’ in the date. The coin carries the effigy of King George V by Sir Edgar Bertram Mackennal.
