1933/2 Overdate Penny – Melbourne Mint – George V.

Struck at the Melbourne Mint, this circulated Australian penny features the 1933/2 overdate — a recognised pre‑decimal variety created when a re‑engraved die left a faint underlying ‘2’ beneath the final ‘3’ in the date. The obverse carries the effigy of King George V by Sir Edgar Bertram Mackennal.
